I have been taking my animals to Mar animal hospital for several years. I have never had an issue until today. I was yelled at and treated so far out of line by the Vet I had my 5 year old Grandson with me and had to have him leave the room while I was being screamed at by the Vet. I love the office staff who all apologized to me for his behavior. And I did nothing to deserve this but bring my dog in and I left feeling extremely uncomfortable and like a no count person I will never return to him Dr.Jowanda .
The good vet retired. Ratings went down to a "0" Zero from a 5☆☆☆☆☆. The new vet bought the business, he has apparently made the staff sick, my cat sick, me sick, we now go 1,000 N Buena Vista St. The new doctor at Mar is very mean. He accusses you of lying about your pet. He says everything is illegal. I doubt he even a real vet. Its shocking. Hes so rude, impolite, callous, its shocking. The good reviews from 2011 are for our beloved Dr. Manuel Acavedo who had a heart to heart ❤ relationship with every patient.
Very RUDE customer service... If you don't have $$$$ in cash at check in, you are not getting ANY help for your pet here. You are a checkbook to these people nothing more...
We were going to go to this vet until we heard the prices and how just for blood work for your pet is 120 dollars and 35 dollars just to see the doctors
Amazing Vet Look no further. You will not be dissapointed if you chose Dr Acevedo as your vet. I have been taking my pets to him for 10 years. He actually loves animals unlike vets I have been to in the past. He helped me nurse 3 puppys through parvo. He really cares!!!!

Very rude, I'd have to say mean. Our dog was a rescue dog so had some emotional issues and was very scared of vets, so went and put his head in the corner. The vet was literally yelling at me that I needed to have our dog socialized. A vet, who's training would have included this type of thing. Our dog was not being aggressive, but was not cooperating as well as the vet expected. Yes, he peed on the floor, but didn't deserve to be treated so badly.
Rude staff, rude dr. All about the money. Not up on latest techniques, clueless about Parvo. Go elsewhere!!!
