I would not recommend this place based on my experience staying here. The house felt overcrowded, and the level of cleanliness was well below what I expected from a sober living environment. There are also a lot of people in very early recovery, and for me the overall atmosphere did not feel stable or like a place where I could continue building the life I'm working toward. I just have to share this if nothing else for anyone struggling with addiction and homeless. My younger brother had lived in the woods for several years struggling from addiction. Recently he's changed, he's clean, determined to find a job and a permanent home. He's had to stay at a few sober living houses as he's starting this journey. This past week his caseworker got him into the MAPLE HOUSE SOBER LIVING HOUSE in Independence. However, Ricky the guy who "runs" the place was very verbally abusive not helpful at all.
