My grandfather lived at Maple Ridge for the last few years of his life and was well taken care of by their staff. As an Ashland resident, it was important to him to stay in town and be able to have a social life. Life Enrichment took groups to OSF plays, held social events in the building, and allowed him to hold his book club meetings in their Country Kitchen. We recently relocated my father from Southern California to independent living at Maple Ridge, and we couldn't be happier with the decision. Our mom moved into Maple Ridge in 2019. She loves the staff, who make her feel like family. They truly care about the residents and work hard to create an active environment that keeps them engaged in the Ashland community, including trips to concerts, local parades, and more. My mom lived in independent living there for 6 yrs. She went into hospice at age 104, a few weeks ago. She only quit driving about 5 years ago, and we shopped at BiMart a month ago, so she was very much up and around. You have to understand that my mother liked everyone always, she had more friends and more of an interest in people than anyone I know.
