They sent me an email saying I had a payment due 8/14. When I asked my insurance agent about it, they informed me that my policy was canceled already effective 7/24 but they would extend a "one time courtesy" and continue my insurance if I paid them $300 by end of the day otherwise the cancelation would hold. At that point it was 4pm. Due to the absurdity of the request, I respectfully declined. They then sent me an email today 8/30 saying my policy was canceled and I owed them $400. Bad verry bad
I have to keep my car insured, and MAPFRE provides this service. If a payment is an hour late, they threaten to cancel the policy. If I want to talk to a live person regarding an issue, I first have to move heaven and hell to prove to the automated system that it can not solve the issue. However, once I do get through to a live service person, they are knowledgeable and helpful. In short, MAPFRE is no better or worse than any other company doing business today.
AWFUL!!! I had a major flood from a burst pipe in my house. They NEVER paid the flood company or any of the companies that came out to fix things. I have two Liens on my property now thanks to this trash company!
