We had our home insured with MAPFRE. We needed to sell and move. Our first buyer got laid off and the sale fell through very late in the contract, but our realtor was confident we could sell quickly and we already had our new place lined up, so we went ahead and moved. We were not terribly far from the home and were there nearly every day checking on one thing or another, or making sure that the house got properly locked up after showings. I’ve had MAPFREE Insurance through Levenbaum Insurance Agency in Dorchester MA for at least twenty years. It’s a great company. Their office is friendly and very responsive and when you need them, they’re there.
One of their insured hit my parked car. I reached out to them and they were very responsive at first to texts (they gave me a number I could text the agent handling the claim) but then they stopped responding. Tried calling. Got in touch and was told what to do next. Sent them the info via email and asked for confirmation as well as where I could get a rental and haven’t heard back in weeks. Edited to add that I emailed them immediately after their response below and haven’t heard back. Very disappointed.

I have done a ton of reviews and most of them are positive. This will not be one of those For whatever reason, my insurance broker uses these guys and I’ve only had a few interactions with them other than paying them money and every one of those interactions is terrible They jerk you around every chance they get, they throw up ridiculous obstacles that unless you know the insurance industry, you wouldn’t even know what to do In the 14 years that I’ve been using them, I’ve had to two claims.
