Dr. Mao is a fabulous doctor. All of our immediate family have been patients for many years. She is incredibly skillful in her diagnoses (including some unusual conditions she has diagnosed for family members.) She is a kind, caring , responsive and knowledgeable professional. In short, she's the best!
Very thorough. Explained all aspects of my eye issues to me clearly and wrote a plan to assuage dry eyes and other issues. Very personable and obviously highly trained and very intelligent. I strongly recommend Dr. Mao.
I can’t say enough of how wonderful Dr. Mao. I stopped seeing her because I moved, but that was a mistake. After not being able to see properly for 2 yrs, I went back. She gave me excellent patient care, took a lot of time with me to ensure I could see with contacts, and gave me simple hints of how to help my extremely dry eyes. I will not change doctors ever again!
Dr. Mao is an exceptional competent Opthamologist and personally,...a warm and friendly individual. I recommend her and her office without question. You'll be Very satified. Her person to person attention to detail is so refreshing. All, within an office where you are not just a number,.. and where the employees know your name. Just go !!!
Dr. Lisa Kay Mao is the best! I had been to three other ophthalmologists prior to seeing her. My eye would not stop tearing! One doctor even suggested surgery. I am so glad I went to her and she fixed my problem! I am forever grateful! Highly recommend this sweet, intelligent and kind ophthalmologist!
Dr Mao may be very knowledgeable as noted in previous reviews but she is lacking in communication skills and bedside manner. Even though I had some eye issues which entailed a further office visit she failed to communicate that they would be additional costs until my contact lens replacement sessions was over.She also held my updated contacts lens hostage unless I ordered replacement contacts from her practice. Of course they were about 50% above on-line -mail order costs.
Dr. Mao is an outstanding physician! My visits with her were LIFE-CHANGING! She not only focused on my eyes, but on my overall health, and has helped me prevent a stroke. She was the only doctor who thought that I may have sleep apnea, and a sleep study confirmed it. Thanks to Dr. Mao, I now have a C-PAP machine which has greatly improved my health. My glaucoma and blood pressure are under control, and my risk for stroke has greatly decreased. She really cares about her patients. So grateful.
I've been seeing Dr. Lisa Kay Mao for 13 years. She is very thorough and genuinely cares about her patients. She will take the time to listen and she always provides excellent care and treatment, if necessary. She monitors my eyes carefully because of the glaucoma history in my family. I also see her for contact lenses and glasses prescriptions. I have very sensitive eyes and she was able to find the perfect contact lenses that are comfortable for me. I would definitely recommend her.
The most caring doctor I have ever met. I wish there were more doctors like her.
