his assistant called me back after I did my labs to tell me I had to go to another facility to get medical clearance. I told her it was too far and since no further tests were needed why did I have to go in person. she said thats just how it’s done. She started arguing with me that 59 st doesn’t do COVID. I told her I’ve been getting tested there for a year. She screamed at me they never did testing there. Called me a liar. I felt her behavior was highly unprofessional. However thh he e dr seems to be very good after the one... read more
Extremely long wait. You see clinicians not the doctor.
Dr Gupta is an amazing Dr. Kind, caring, extremely knowledgeable, I was very confident with him from the minute I met him. Did not at all like the resident he was training in, but he himself is an unbelievable Dr! Had a great experience, would recommend him to anyone with complicated issues
Dr. Gupta has the absolute worst staff of any doctor I have ever gone to. They are rude, nasty and unprofessional. I saw him when he was switching hospitals. I was glad to finally see him because he is a great doctor. My stones had acted up and had to be removed. He ordered pre op tests. I asked his secretary when surgery would happen. She said in about 3 weeks after my tests. I said where and she said she would let me know. I had the tests done and called to find when the surgery was going to take place. She said she didn't... read more
I have been seeing Dr. Gupta since I think 2000 or 2001. I had a kidney stone and went to the E.R. at St. Lukes Hospital. He treated me and I went to see him at his office. Since that day I have had numerous procedures-- all done expertly and leaving me with peace of mind. I just had laser surgery yesterday and I feel much better even though I was in severe pain today as a result of ureter spasms. I went to the E.R. near my home and called his service and within 30 minutes he was on the phone with me and the doctors at the E... read more
It's his staff that's the problem. Has always been the problem but you can say the same thing about Dr. Weiner as well. These doctors pick up the worst trash to run their office. Dr. Gupta is an excellent doctor and surgeon, it's just his assistants and nurses that are deplorable and uncaring. I'm sure if he hired better staff this wouldn't be an issue. I still HIGHLY recommend Dr. Gupta for any urological surgery because when he does it right the first time. If you can deal with this crappy ass staff to get to him it's wort... read more
Dr Gupta immediately put my fears at ease during my first appointment with him (& as an active 58 yr old, I had many!). He spent 45 min. with my husband and I going over every question that we had, reviewing a CT scan that was ordered by another urologist, and making a plan of action for me. He ended up lasering a stone 2 cm in size that had become encapsulated by my ureter. I was comfortable after the procedure, even though I had a kidney stent in place. The removal of the stent was a concern of mine as it's done under loca... read more
Unfortunately Dr. Gupta although a great surgeon is a terrible doctor, and if you ever have an emergency after the surgery... well too bad. I had an emergency, called four times and did NOT receive a phone call until 10 hours later. As anyone who has kidney/bladder problems knows things can go from ok to terrible in hours. Im just glad that didn't happen to me and another doctor was kind enough to see me.
