Excellent choice in Taos when you want great NM cuisine without spending a whole lotta doe. I ate outside on the front patio; basically on the street. I ordered a Suise Burrito solo with a side of whole beans and Dark Modelo for $14 bucks. I'm still full 3 hours later. I will be back...
I went through the drive thru around 8:40pm. I order two number 1's with the fritos on the side and extra onions. The worker at the drive thru whose name is Luis takes my order and didn't repeat it back to me, so I assumed he got it right. I pulled up at the window and everything is fine. As he's handing me my drinks I saw one was way lower than the other, I wasn't bothered by that at first so I didn't say anything. I use to love Monte’s but no more. I had the #7 burrito that was supposed to have a chili relleno in it. Just a hollow, over fried chili. I asked 3 times for my special diet friend to have a bean and chicken burrito no cheese. There was cheese, and the chicken was tough and dry like it had been double fried like a chicharron. Sad. I guess nothing good lasts.
