Prior to my recent experience, I didn't have a bad word to say about Mannum Hospital. However, after Sunday, I will never set foot in that place again. 4 months post partum and recovering from severe post-natal depression, I had come back at the advice of another doctor, because some alarming physical symptoms had escalated dramatically. I find if you have mental health issues, majority of nurses are discriminatory and do not practice patient centred care. I was with a worker in ED, her nurse had no idea how to use Sunrise. Despite coming in an ambulance. I find the Drs are mostly on the ball.
No more than a clinic for boo boo’s, I’d probably rather die than go back
Had emergency dear friend Allan on Saturday rushed in to Mannum emergency very very unwell heart blood pressure ! ( after discussing with Dr Fenton - said get him to hospital asap) arrived the nurses were tops ! And dear Doctor Nico ( victor medical centre doctor ) on call to mannum was fantastic ! Checked with doctors cardio’s at Royal Adelaide ! Staff nurses doctor fantastic ! Allan treated with great care respect and checked on over several hours ! Then sent home !
