This place is a must visit on the Gibb river Road. Core memories, meeting friends, chilling in the stream, sharing stories, camp fires, jumping off waterfalls. $50 for first night then $30 each night after. Not charging for kids on unpowered is 10 stars!!! See you again next year.
We didnt get to go, just want to add some info. No dogs on the walk, $10 per person. Too hot to leave dogs behind, mid August
Absolutely stunning gorge! 100% worth the 2.5km walk in (5km return) Cross the river at the camp ground via the little boat, or swim across & put your belongings into the blue tubs to keep them dry. The walk is hot, dry & exposed for most of the journey. Lots of rocks to scramble over & the trail is marked with lots of arrows & dots of paint to keep you on track.
