I stayed here for about a week and honestly, its so much better than the reviews make it out to be. Ofcourse its not the perfect place but its great for the funding it has. (i was in the 15-17 category) The techs & nurses tend to switch out nearly everyday and I have different opinions for all of them so its difficult to write my experience on that since it really is based on luck. To everyone at the facility When I first arrived, I was frustrated and felt like I had lost my chance to a normal life. I never expected to leave three months later feeling so grateful for the people I met. You gave me something I didn’t know I needed: a place where I could feel like a person again. Compared to other short terms I've been to, this is definitely my favorite. I have had a lot of visits to psych wards, 14 in total. This one is even spoken about in other hospitals in louisiana as like, the one that spoils you. I loved these staff in particular: mr Kevin, Mr Jimmy, ms.sakeen (unsure of spelling), ms. Che (the cool lady), ms. Madilyn (unsure of spelling) Mr Steve, and I also loved dr. Phillips, and ms. Joe, the social worker, plus of course ms Hannah, but she stopped working there.
