This post is a little overdue, but here we go. I wanted to write a little about the stellar service I received at this Hyundai service center from Diego and the technicians that worked on my vehicle. Whoa … hold on. I’ve consistently given Manly 5 stars since I got my Ioniq 5. Just had my 30,000 mile service and first one out of the free servicing you get with a new car. I thought Manly would be different. But no. Basic servicing on a car that is only 2 years old was over $700. And I even cut out a few things to bring the cost down. I hate to say it, but the rule holds true for EVs too. Never get your car serviced at a dealership once you have to pay for it yourself. But what do we EV owners do? Typically I’ve had a positive experience here, but this time I had taken my car in to get an issue diagnosed. The issue was diagnosed and I was told that the parts have been ordered and once all the parts are in, I can come in to get the issue fixed (and was advised to not drive anywhere far/on the freeway much) to be safe as they couldn’t be sure how risky the issue was. The next week, I was informed that the parts were in so I scheduled for the same week due to the safety risk of driving in the meantime. But when I went in... read more
