The staff seems to genuinely care about each resident and their needs. I am truly impressed! I think the new ownership really cares about the residents as well. It is an older home, but has been updated and improvements needing attention get completed very quickly. The home has a very home-like feel to it, much like the home I grew up in.
My mom stayed there for over a year. She was taken care of and treated like family. Diane took her to appointments and truely kept me informed. Meals are balanced and tasty. Mom was never mistreated as other reviews infered. They provide a great living environment. LDS services provided.
Although I do not have a family member in this facility, I know several people who do and they have nothing but good things to say about Manila Country home and the Gibb family who runs it. I visit Manila Country Home regularly with my family to visit with the residents and to help with some work around the yard. The Gibbs are kind and attentive to their residents and you can tell that they care greatly for them. The owners are wonderful, caring, respectful and kind people. My mother has lived in the facility for over 2 years now. Her care has been exceptional in every way. It has a feeling of love and family. Myself as well as our extended family love to visit regularly and are always very welcome. It truly feels like more than a home/family setting rather than an institution. I am so glad we found them. Patti
At first glance this place appears to be a nice clean homey facility. This is in fact not the case. The residents are not treated kindly, they are given no choice and physically forced to go to activities and meals when they don't want to go. There is zero respect for privacy; bathroom doors and windows are left open while residents are using the bathrooms. overall, i would never ever under any circumstances check one of my family members into this facility.
