Was misinformed that I could register at the auction and was not able to sign up when I visited. Very luckily, the system wasn't working so they did manual bidding and I was able to bid. I won a bid for a car from the starting bid price and no one else bidded against it. Was asked by the negotiator, if I would pay more as the seller had a reserve that wasn't met (or even stated) and they didn't start at when bidding. Thanks Manheim...You put a $500 hold on my card to even watch the auction so now my addiction to buying bad cars is over as I won't give U $500 to hold ...Fancy shooting themselves in the foot like that...What are you really gambling with.
⭐ 1 Star Very disappointing experience with Manheim. My main concern is the handling of the holding deposit. The deposit was taken from me, but despite following up, it has not been released/refunded within a reasonable timeframe. It is frustrating when a company can take a customer’s money immediately but then make the customer repeatedly chase them to have it returned. I am very concerned about the new fees, including the additional $500 deposit required to access the auction, on top of the $1 entry fee. In my opinion, these charges are unreasonable and feel like a rip-off. I have been a customer of yours for around 15 years, and unfortunately, I have noticed a significant decline in the quality of your service over recent years.
