I lost my sight and, evidently, was seen by Dr. Petratos in the ER. After referring me to a money-hungry retna specialist who refused to honor her referral and see me immediately, who also refused to accept my insurance and treated me so poorly, Dr. Petratos rushed me through my follow-up with her in under less than 5 minutes (after she had me wait for 1 and 1/2 hours past my appointment time) and made a poor attempt to address her problematic referral to Dr. Fastenberg of VRN. A huge thank you to Dr. Peter and all of the staff at Manhasset eye specialists. They are absolutely amazing. My grandmother has Alzheimer's disease and going to the doctor is not always easy and can often be an upsetting and distressing experience for her. As a nurse, I know what it means to give good care - and they give EXCEPTIONAL care. I have never witnessed an outpatient office work so well with her.
