Great place to stop for a few days .. Homestead was amazing and thankyou to the caretaker for showing us around ....
Very interesting preserved homestead. The caretaker was very kind and let us in to look around inside the buildings.
Great historical homestead, definitely worth a visit. You can camp overnight and because it is on higher ground you get beautiful views and the breeze keeps mozzies away. Take a tour through the buildings and see some fascinating antiques. Call Bob the caretaker, a lovely gentleman who is very friendly and helpful, for a tour or camp.
Sehr schönes altes Homestead, mit Caravanpark. Es gibt powered and unpowered sites, Wasser, Toiletten und sogar heisse Duschen. Das Anwesen wird liebevoll gepflegt von einem Caretaker, der auch hier lebt, und sehr nett ist. Er hat uns das Homestad gezeigt und uns viele gute Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben, so dass wir sogar noch 1 Tag länger geblieben sind. Sehr empfehlenswert. Sehr ruhig ( wir waren die einzigen Gäste), wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen.
We went to look at an early settler's homestead and how they managed to survive there more than 100 years ago. All the things that we take for granted, like water, shelter, food, and living in such isolation, they had to build from scratch. No power tools or batteries, just everything hand powered! One would have to have had resilience plus to manage back then. And bonus! There is a small caravan park on site as well.
