Staff is always friendly and I really enjoy the wide variety of fitness classes. The instructors are fun and engage during their classes. The Manchester Y has plenty of programs, classes, and fellowship for all ages. The building and equipment is all relatively new and well taken care of. I always see someone cleaning and disinfecting machines and weights. This gym is not intimidating at all and everyone is friendly & welcoming.
The childcare area could benefit from more consistent engagement with the children. At times, it seems like staff are positioned at the front rather than actively interacting and supervising the kids throughout the space. I would also love to see more age-appropriate activities and stimulation offered for younger babies. Overall, there’s a lot of potential here with a few improvements in engagement and programming.
I am only going to give three stars because I love everyone at this ymca except one! They usually are very pumped and get me motivated. I’m only writing this review, because I’ve been really disturbed about an incident that happened 4/5/26 at approximately 11 am. I came in and forgot my ID bc due to work I had to shift my keys the prior night.
