The food and service was amazing. The food came out quickly and the atmosphere was very pleasant. All of it felt very homemade and different from other places.
Delicious food served in very large portions! The Mamies trio (sandwiches) were supposed to be mini, there is nothing mini about them.. one chicken salad, one shrimp salad and one tuna and I barely made it through 2. The shrimp and chicken salad were amazing! I did order a side of gravy fries... mmmm!!!! I had to get the tuna to go. Hubby really enjoyed the reuben sandwich, a massive sandwich it was. Plenty to look at while you're waiting on some mom-quality food. Last time I was there, the server was asking about drinks before I even sat down, then showed up like a stalker throughout the meal.
When we want to have great comfort food, we drive from Towson to Aberdeen to come to Mamie’s Café. We know we will always be warmly greeted, get the best service, get the best comfort food, enjoy the decorations, and leave really happy that we came all that distance. I've never been so my daughter and I tried it tonight. The food was ok...I got the fried oysters and thought they were too hard to enjoy....they cost $24....a little panco would have been better. I got a CUP of vegetable beef for $8.95 and was charged $8.50 for 2 Pepsi? My daughter is a vegan and had only 2 choices so she got the eggplant parmesan for $22.95....too much spaghetti and was fair. I looked at our check and it was $70.93 !!!
