The food was excellent. I had fried chicken, red rice and Mac and cheese. My daughter had oxtails and rice. My palate was overflowing. My eyes were bigger than my stomach. When visit the area again, mama joys will be my go to place

Server was very rude and tried to keep our change, and then try to say in front of other customers that she wasn’t rude or didn’t slam out change down. Do not recommend!!

The food was really delicious. We had seafood mac, fish, and a pasta alfredo dish. Everything was good. We were the only dining customers, which is sad because people are missing out. There were people at the bar who seemed to be regulars.

I am a true Southerner. So I typically don’t order southern food at restaurants. I saw this place on the episode of “Where the Chefs Eat,” and I was excited to try it. We ordered to go. The person who answered the phone to take.the order seemed like she was in a hurry and annoyed with questions. I ordered the fried pork chops and one of the sides I asked, for she said it was no longer on the menu.
