Some sides were great: loved the collards, Cole slaw and smashed cucumber onion salad. The beans were disappointing, not enough umami despite the meat inside. Smoked sausages were excellent. The brisket was cut too thick and was dry. Should have been sliced thinner so the sauce would have fixed the dryness. Very friendly service and a lively atmosphere.
So happy we got to visit one of my favorite friend’s bbq joint! It was so amazing all the way down to the frozen watermelon mojitos. We even made it all the way back to Bham with some leftovers. Can’t wait to visit again! Thank you Madison and Kelli for the hospitality. Love you guys!
Ordered beef brisket sandwich coleslaw on-side. Sandwich had slaw on it Server was informed and she went to the trash to retrieve the order slip. But couldn’t find it. Sandwich was delicious, meat wasn’t dry.
The meats stand well on their own and the deserts and sides were quite good. Their sauces are very vinegar forward, and they do run out of food throughout the day it seems, so coming late to avoid crowds can have its downsides. There are not free refills. Overall quite good.
