Nice store, Beaverton is lucky to have one. Mostly centered around bulk dispensers, but they have a lot of other great useful products too. Prices are sometimes cheaper and sometimes more expensive than the "normal" items you'd get but they're very often better quality. For example, the dishwasher powder is quite a bit more than basic powder, but from the ingredient list, it's Nellie's which is a high-end, clean product (and it's about the same price as the Nellie buckets, so that's a win in my book).

So happy to have multiple zero waste store options in town but Mama & Hapas is my favorite. In my opinion they have the widest selection of goods, simple ingredients, great prices, lots of free jars for filling or the option to bring your own, and the nicest owner and staff. Every location gets 5 stars from me. I'm slowly phasing out single use products in my house and just refilling everything here. Yay, zero waste!

Don't get me wrong, this place is pretty cool. I think the products are good. The price is a bit higher than I expected from an expectation of bulk purchasing/reuse standpoint (they do have discounts for 100 oz+ or something on certain things). Selection is pretty great. The thing that kinda irked me was the pay by volume. I had a 26 oz bottle and the machine claimed I dispensed 34 oz, etc etc. If I could just... pay for the size of the bottle, I would not hesitate to make this a regular stop, but the combo of volume measure... read more
