Their in-house sandwiches are phenomenal. If you get it on a regular bun or sub, you can’t go wrong. Their beef on a bun was unlike any other deli sandwich I’ve had. Thankful for the local that suggested to try their sandwich.
Maltese grocery is our go to for the best in meats and specialty Italian food. All of their staff- from the butchers in back, to the front counter staff to the cashiers are courteous, helpful and very pleasant to deal with. Truly a jewel of a local store- the best!
Maltese is eye-wateringly expensive on most things without managing to significantly elevate the quality level re: their packaged goods. I mean come on.... an Italian grocer that doesn't sell any GOOD balsamic? Don't even get me started on what they try to charge for olive oil! That being said, they're as good as anywhere in town to buy meat - especially if you stick to sale items. The rest of their stuff, while very expensive, is usually of decent quality.
