Absolutely, The worst company in the State of Florida. After hurricane Sally we paid $18,630 to have our roof redone in Pensacola, Florida. Wilbert Malphus who is the owner had salesman up here getting customers to have their roofs repaired due to hurricane damage. Our story well 3 and 1/2 years later we still have open permits. The inspection was failed horribly for water damage, interior and exterior. Most recent quote to have our house repaired and this is from Malphus and sons insurance which he refused to give us. Horrible company to do your Roof!! Do Not have them do your Roof!! They will slap on tar to "repair" things leave loose screws up and do a Very Sloppy job!! New house for a month and leaking already from roof, runed my house all over. Soft spots throughout my roof and bent pieces of metal and it's already rusting. Horrible company!!!
1-star is a generous rating overstatement for this company, but zero or negative stars wasn't an option. I made the mistake of buying a new construction home built by Malphus & Son because I love supporting local businesses and I wanted the new construction warranty benefits they included in the contract. It's been over a year and I have sent no less than 2 dozen communications to the contractor requesting they remedy the post-closing blue-tape and warranty items - and yet they still have not addressed them entirely. Horrible experience and wish we would have never hired this contractor. Two and a half years later permit has not been closed, and it has failed inspection. Caused massive amounts of water damage due to horrible craftsmanship and cannot get them to come back out to fix all the issues that failed inspection. Had to get the State of Florida business regulation Department involved and the Attorney General's office.
