We did a virtual consultation. After this he asked me to mail the chip card from the CPAP maching. I have a Philips Respironics Dreamstation. I told him I will just drop it off. When I went to his office, his nurse said it was not the one and I just have to bring the whole machine. I did and after an hour of waiting, she brought it out & told me all set. I was recommended by my Doctor to go to him and have a sleep study done I called and spoke directly with the doctor.. I questioned if he took my insurance.. After giving him my policy he stated that it should be covered and would call if there was a problem. We scheduled an appointment for a consultation. Went in for appointment gave my card met with him for over 15 minutes and left. Was informed after that sleep study was not covered I questioned cost and was told $300. Don't waste your time! Dr. Samit Malhotra is more concerned about his own schedule than the health of his patients. During my first visit he made it very clear to me to not call him, and he will call me after he receives my test results. Never called me! Had a second appointment that was scheduled two months after this first appointment. They called me to confirm I was coming 30 minutes before the appointment. This is a difficult review because Dr. Malhotra is an excellent doctor. However, his staff are the worst dregs of humanity. They're rude, stupid, incompetent buffoons who make it extremely difficult to do the simplest things like just make an appointment. AFter two years of seeing this doctor (who I really like), I've decided that his staff makes it too unpleasant, so I've moved to a different doctor.
A wonderful doctor. So sorry when he left CT. Haven't found a doctor of the same caliber to repace him.
