It’s a really good gym, it’s open at good hours, has friendly staff, everyone is super friendly and supportive, and it has pretty decent equipment

A trainer wrote a totally inappropriate program for me after I told him what my physical issues were. As a consequence, I have had to give up work and have spent a considerable amount of money in investigations, imaging, specialists, and remedial treatments. 7 months on, I have now been told I need a shoulder replacement to repair the damage If you intend to visit this gym, I'd recommend doing this under guidance from an Exercise Physiologist and NOT the personal trainers. I've been a member of the Maleny Community Gym for 18 months and am thrilled with the improvement in my strength, muscle tone and self-image. I alternate programs from gym staff and my exercise physiologist and find they complement each other well. I feel safe and well supervised in the gym and have regularly been redirected by the trainers when doing an exercise incorrectly or inefficiently.
