Doctor Mala is quite knowledgeable and listens closely to what I tell her. I’ve had more than a few rheumatologists come and go in the IUArnett system over the nearly four decades of being treated for RA there. From my experience with the other RA docs, I’m very confident in her abilities and her methods. I’m quite pleased with all she has done and our interactions since she’s been here.
I went to Dr Mala due to a positive ANA screen and widespread joint pain. She didn’t even listen to what all of my symptoms were. She kept interrupting me and not letting me tell her in depth about what I’m experiencing. She was rough when feeling my joints and muscles which caused my pain to be worse. I feel that she did not care enough about what I’m going through and wrote me off a just a little hypermobile. The staff is horrible and rude. Trying to get a medication refill will get you berated by their rude staff. I’m looking for a different doctor that will treat me like a patient instead of a problem.
Communication is now a thing of the past. Been doing my rheumatology issues through this facility for about 20 years. Now they say they don’t have time to return phone calls. Can’t return patient calls?
I found Dr. Mala very caring and thorough. She was well prepared for my visit and was careful to make sure all of my questions were answered. She is a very good doctor and I have no problem highly recommending her.
