I was visiting Newport from LA last night meeting with friends. This was my first time coming to this bar, and within 5 minutes of entering the bar someone threw a block high heel and hit me in the side of my head extremely hard. Security was not empathetic or helpful whatsoever. They said there was nothing they could do, were annoyed with me being upset and said they didn't know who it was. The manager or owner of this business was extremely rude and violated a pedestrians 1st ammendment rights. He aggressively attacked an individual and was arrested looking like a damned fool. He is an idiot. Do not patronize this establishment.
Might be good food but the video shows your employee being encouraged to assault a member of the public for filming in public, then he gets arrested. So even good food won't get people to come if violent employees are encouraged to attack people on a public sidewalk because there feelings are hurt.
Funny Little Place Malarky's, located on the Newport peninsula is a funny place. There are a lot of drunk surfer types here. I don't think it was really my scene, but I had fun. It's a typical Newport party bar. They had some interesting beers, not just your typical generic types. There was very good people watching too.
Party spot Good times and fun dance floor! This place goes off for the holidays and weekends. Try going on a Sunday evening and you'll most likely be kickin it with the TV's. The bartenders are alway super friendly!

We went this last week - hadn’t been there in several years since our daughters graduated from college. Love how they have the new set up outside! It was a great day. Food and drink was perfect! Staff friendly and attentive! Love the VW bus in the lot for them to keep everything clean! We will be back! 💜👍
