Dr. Makori is a nice enough guy, but as a doctor I've had a lot better. I felt he never truly listened or took my symptoms incredibly seriously and he was always quick to chalk it up to stress or depression. And don't ever count on anyone calling you back to discuss testing results. Seeing another PCP has really helped open my eyes to have someone listen, believe and explain things well enough to give me answers and not feel insulted when I ask questions.
Very disinterested in my reason for the visit. I have never had a doctor ask ME what I thought my problem was then didn’t even address it! No followup in MyChart other than the summary I got on checkout. Listed things in Visit summary that we not even discussed!
Made me miserable!! Doubled my blood pressure medication. Then both my legs became very swollen. They advised me the Dr would have to see me I couldn't get an appointment for weeks. called the nurse 5 times with no return phone calls ended up with DVT blood clots . left leg & lungs. Spent 2 nights in Tanner Hospital no phone calls or visits his office is less than .5 mile away. The nurse finally called me after i was home 4 days later at which time i advised her that i was switching doctors>
From Feb 2018 until Nov 2018 my dad lost over 60 lbs. His appetite and strength was fading. My mom repeatedly took him to Makori's office seeking help. On Nov 28 my dad was admitted to the hospital. His blood count was 4 when it should have been between 12-14. The next day something in my dad's intestinal tract ruptured. He was bleeding from his rectum, ears, nose and mouth. At 7:30 that evening my dad died from massive blood loss. Makori did NOTHING to help my dad's condition.
Did not have a primary doctor and was referred to Dr. Makori thru another physician. I've been a patient of Dr. Markori's now for 3 years, and I've recommended him many, many times. He takes a lot of time and always answers my questions. I wish I could give more than 5 stars regarding how he listens and talks to you. The staff is very nice and helpful.
I'm am so thankful to have him as my physician. He really cares about his patients and takes time to listen. He truly wants the best for the people he treats. His staff is amazing as well. I highly recommend Dr Fred Makori
