Japanese food in a bowl is the best way to discribe this place. Great pale for a college student . Low cost and lots of food. Their teriyaki bowls are good.

Want a gigantic teryaki chicken bowl but don't want to pay for it for weeks? Mako bowl is the place for you. The spicy chicken bowl is the best one.

Great Food at a Great Price Mako Bowl is a great quick stop for lunch. Their terriiaki bowls are really good and for just a couple bucks really fills you up. There is never a long wait and whether you eat in or take out its a very good meal.

Best Teriyaki in Pasadena – The best teriyaki place in the area. I've been going to mako bowl for years now and the food is always great there. The teriyaki sauce is soooooo good. Just the right amount of sweetness. If you want a little kick try the spicy teriyaki sauce. Great for lunch or dinner. Price is very reasonable but you really go there for the food. They only use fresh thgih meat chicken which is nice and juicy and they also use fresh cut vegetables that are steamed. Its a great meal for kids too cause its healthie... read more

If you dont like the sound of maggots in your food, dont eat here! – so i basically opened this account to inform people who like mako bowl in hastings ranch to stay away. i went there with my boyfriend today to get some late lunch. As im eating my edamame it starts to taste foul. I open it up to find maggots! thats right MAGGOTS! I am so grossed out by this place, and to add insult to injury the people there would not refund my bill... they only tried to offer me another cup of edamame. so all in all, you want to eat there,... read more

The Gold Standard of Chicken Bowls Mako Bowl is one of the best chicken bowl places for lunch. I know, because I probably had a couple of hundred there over the years for work. It's definitely the place you go in downtown Pasadena if you have a working lunch and need to get back in the hurry with a teriyaki bowl and some hot sauce. It's cheap, fast and clean.

My office's favorite place to get lunch I admit I feel a little silly saying a little take-out rice bowl place is "world class". But I love this place and so does everyone in my workplace.

Japanese Chiken Nuggets – Try them! Order just a side of white rice and some Japanese chicken nuggets. Add a little of the hot sauce and soy sauce, and you'll have a fine lunch for 3 bucks. If you need your veggies too, grab a "spicy chicken terryaki" bowl. Fresh vegetables will accompany your tasty chicken and rice. Quick, tasty, affordable and healthy. Avoid 12-1, it's really busy.
