Even in the middle of the desert, you can take a trip to the ocean with Makino Gourmet Sushi and Seafood Buffet, a Las Vegas favorite that is always packed with hungry locals. Serving only the freshest seafood and a wide variety of Pan-Asian and Yakitori specialties, there is no limit to the all-you-can-eat experience. Amidst the bustle of the buffet lines, you can choose from tempura, exotic rolls, salads, and plenty of scrumptious desserts. Be sure to check out the restaurant's other locations in area, one at the Premium O... read more

I love sushi and sashimi! I am a native and have been to numerous buffets and AYCE Japanese choice restaurants. I went to Makino last week for the first time and absolutely loved it! It is very fresh and full of variety. The best part of paying for an AYCE sushi restaurant is that you actually can choose a piece of a fresh roll without having to order the whole roll (where the buffet style comes into play.) I have eaten at Japanese restaurants with all you can eat menus but after 3-5 rolls for the price just doesn't seem com... read more
best all u can eat if you don't like bar chatter – Great selection, no option to make anything custom. Have that great sushi pig out without listening to sushi chef chatter or charm. If that's what you are looking for...Makino's (either location) is the place for you.
GO FOR LUNCH, stay for dinner – Well, actually lunch is all you need. This is the best sushi buffet you will ever visit. The place is clean, the decor has nice lines, it is hectic. The price is right. The sushi is fresh and varied. The salads are crisp and sauces sharp. The very nature of a buffet degrades the quality of the food IMO. The question is how much. At Machino's the amswer is very little. The sushi moves at this place (ok, not literally). The chefs are constantly preparing and serving it and there are usually 7 or... read more
Definitely worth the price – I've been to several sushi buffets and this is definitely one of the best...great sushi selections... tempura is always full of shrimps..not just vegetables....and everything is fresh... and they have good selections of cooked foods too for those of you who don't lke raw foods. and the last time i was there..they had a chocolate fountaine...great for the ladies who would rather eat desserts than anything else...
Great Japanese Buffet Alternative – Todai never looked this good, but then again, the prices are the same, the food is practically the same so it may as well be the same. Vegas style buffets are huge, but Makino's keeps the overeating Japanese food lover in shape, which is fat and happy. Stay real hungry before you decide to make it this big sushi feast.
More sushi for your money – Las Vegas being overly saturated with Buffet's, Makino's is a refreshing change. There are two locations, both I have found to be consistent in sushi preparation and freshness. For newbie sushi lovers, you can try a whole new array of tastes and combinations without having to order a whole roll. Large array of seafood salads, tempura, miso soup, terriaki meats, rice and wonderful desserts. Try the shaved ice with condensed milk and the sweet red bean paste! Sounds strange but so yummy and authenti... read more
can't recommend the one in the Premium Outlets – After eating at the Premium Outlets location with some visiting friends, I can't recommend the place. First was the service-- we were seated only after several minutes of standing in front of the lady at the cash register (no other waiting customers, and plenty of space in the restaurant). The service from the waitresses was pretty indifferent. Granted, this is a buffet restaurant, but it would have been nice if they had at least kept our water glasses refilled. The food was d... read more
Not bad at all – I can't recall having good experiences in AYCE Sushi places, but this place was surprisingly decent. As a Japanese national, I've experienced so many pseudo-shshi's prepared by non-japanese sushi chef-wannabe's in this country, but I'll give this place a passing score. Neta (Fish) portion of the sushi is not bad, sushi-rice is properly prepared, and I think Nigiri (squeezing the rice) part is done by a machine, but it wasn't bad, and overall came out ok. This place even has expensve "neta" like ikura (salmon... read more
