Best experience I had while visiting the area from out of town. I was recommended by my nephew who used to work there and I’m glad I went. If you are looking for a caring staff and a great experience to see the beautiful views I highly recommend renting a boat from here. 10/10
When booking a boat rental in Saugatuck, I found that some of the companies I called based on the reviews were quite rude because they were booked. I was pleasantly surprised by “making waves” as they stepped up and acted like they really were appreciative of my business. We had a great day on the water and everything transition smoothly with the contracts and payments. When in Saugatuck check these guys out before you go to the other rentals. I recently rented a boat from makin waves and had a very poor experience. First, when I got there I was instantly greeted by a bunch of young nice college kids. It took a turn when the owner showed up midway through the paperwork and his husband started feeding him hot dogs. Then, when everyone was helping me on the boat I saw the owner Jonny hollering profanity to his employees. After 2 hours on the lake, I came back to the dock and witnessed Jonny devouring a big bowl of mustard with his bare hands spilling it everywhere. ... read more
Owner Johnny is just rude and sarcastic. Took our business elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and steer clear from this place, it’s bad news The owners reply to my review is false… I never stepped foot on any of his boats. My group quickly left after observing the unprofessionalism of the owner.
This place was exceptional and very well organized! Can’t wait to be back very soon!
