I dropped off a Garrett T3 from a 1989 Lotus Esprit Turbo for a rebuild as the bearings had some play. They called the next day and quoted $860. The rebuild kit cost $35. I picked it up to rebuild it myself. There were no damaged parts, just worn bearings. They had disassembled it without marking relative wheel position which required balancing. What a joke of service. Bought a rebuilt turbo with actuator today at 12:40 pm and it was installed on my truck. As soon as we started the truck it had a code 1894 for turbo actuator. I called the guys at Turbo Makestic and they told me it could be a bad actuator. They told me to bring them the actuator for them to replace it with a new one so I can install it.
