The area is so rich and full of history. The caves and learning areas are informative and educational. If you are in the area, please don't miss this place. Sometimes you live in a place without even realizing the history and the gems available. They have really nice areas for walking and kids to play. Highly recommend for a homeschool field trip in the Birmingham area.
Extremely beautiful! Friendly staff and convenient accommodations for all. We also highly recommend Roman for your tour guide! He is the best guide in the country!!
The caverns are breathtakingly beautiful, a magnificent sight, and the tour guy will give you history on the caverns. Also the activities above ground are so much fun and entertaining, definitely a great place for a family day trip.

We went on a Sunday and it was like a ghost town. So if you're not a fan of crowds this is the day to go. We went years ago when it was called DeSoto Caverns and the light show was great this was mediocre and considering the tickets cost it was over priced at $30+ per person. My son paid over 30 for 4 of us to do the panning for gems. And that was ok - we all came away with a few to take home.
