21yr old stepson had an emergency colectomy. When he was sent home Mainehealth care was the at home care service the hospital set him up with, they were supposed to come 2-3 times a week. The first week, the nurse they sent was new and had absolutely no experience with ostomy care and could do nothing and brought no supplies. The second nurse they sent days later was absolutely incredible, experienced with ostomy care and helped within finding the right supplies for him. I highly recommend Hospice through MaineHealth Care at Home Rockland. My Dad wanted to stay at home during his illness and with the help of Hospice it was possible for us to take care of my Dad and to follow through with his last wishes. Thank you to all the Hospice workers who made it possible.
