Great adventure base for Scouts with out having to travel by airplane from most New England states. About a 6 hour drive from the Boston area. Canoe trips through all of the waterways in and around the Northern Maine.
We just got back from the trip of a lifetime with Maine High Adventure. The guide Alden was extremely knowledgeable about canoe paddling and helped us safely navigate the whitewater. He was also very conscientious about making it a scout-led program. All of the girls in our crew learned a lot about paddling, backcountry adventure, teamwork, and what they were capable of. We saw amazingly beautiful sights on our custom-designed program, which was a challenge for us but not so hard that we couldn't do it and feel accomplished.... read more

My two boys and their Troop 194 spent the past weekend here for Boy Scouts Camporee. That had a blast and learned so much. Super nice staff. Can't wait to go again!
