I am waiting for lots of repairs in my apartment. My rental experience with MDA is a lot about watching my apartment deconstruct slowly over the twelve years I've lived here. The paint is literally chipping off the walls. My freezer broke in June. Lost all my food. Went without a freezer for almost three months. On Friday someone showed up to fix it. A major fail. Worst place I ever delt with they only care about money they pick and choose who they want to favor and it's mostly the people that bring in way over the cap on top of letting them bully other tenants and run the building the management also talks to the ones they favor about all the other tenants personal stuff it's like high school besides the fact u can't get away from it cuz you live there
Totally unprofessional management group. They manage way to many properties, and monopolize the elderly/disabled rental units in Maine. They treat low income applicants like trash, although, they themselves benefit greatly from government monies. Total bunch of hypocrites. Stay away from them.
They don't repair their apartments at all unless it's just before inspection. I have moved out and they charged me for replacing things saying they replaced before I moved in which they did not. I have several witnesses and they said "Do you have pictures?" I lived here for 7 years minded my own business; didn't think I needed to take pictures and keep them so I can prove it. It's super super easy to fail an inspection for these people. Three pieces of cat hair on the floor equals an unvaccumed floor. Honestly, you can fail for three pieces of hair on the floor. They even suggested I buy a better vaccum cleaner. If you move here, be prepared to keep your house spotless, have cameras on you in the parking lot and be told that you have too much stuff because you decided you wanted a couch in the livingroom. Please don't ever rent from these people. My wife rented from them and they are very rude and never fix anything. She was in the disabled section (with elderly) and almost every day I would shovel her out and put salt down because she had fallen several times. The maintenance man there is very rude and hardly ever does anything until there's an inspection coming. Also they pay the rent for one person there and set them up so they could see all apartments and basically tell on people. That might have come in handy if they had... read more
