I would like very much to be one of the counters for "road kill"; I just scraped a Porcupine off the road in Cushing (2nd one in two days)....I have been observing that there are "instinctual" crossing places all over Maine....I am also calling all the living things of Earth "people" (since "corporations are people"???)....Jackie Gichun Freitas; Friendship, Maine
We had Kim from the Maine Audubon Society come to our classroom! She did a great job showing the children items she had brought with her!!!!
When I challenged some suspect sponsorship a few years ago, I was told by national Audubon that Maine had a unique-in-the-nation relationship with national that allowed a level of autonomy: That is not having to hold themselves to the same standards as everyone else.
