My husband and I rented the Bigelow for our anniversary weekend. Rob was so nice and accommodating!! We drove to Acadia National Park and stayed at Hadley’s & Blackwood campgrounds. It was really comfortable in the roof tent and the sun is completely blocked out, so you can get a nice sleep-in! Absolutely everything you need for camping is in there, so the only thing we ended up bringing were our headlamps! Highly recommend! Such a fun, affordable way to see Maine!
It was our first time renting a camper van and because of our experience with both the camper and working with the owners, it will NOT be our last. The camper (katahdin) was extremely comfortable. The bed was top hotel quality, the kitchen was very user friendly, and the layout of the van was thoughtful and a perfect blend of comfort and practicality. We interacted with Rob in renting the van. Had a great experience renting from Rob. He was easy to communicate with and set the car up with all the camping supplies we could possibly need for a weeklong road trip through Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts. The concept for the company is cool as well, serving as a unique way for folks to access New England and interact with the landscape without staying in hotels. I would absolutely do something like this again.
We had a great experience on our roadtrip in the Katahdin campervan in August! Rob was helpful answering questions before we arrived, gave us a thorough orientation on the van when we arrived and responded to our text when we had a question after we headed out on the road. We camped at Hipcamp sites, State parks and even in a friend's driveway.
