If you're looking for a memorable day on the Farmington River, I can't recommend Mainstream Kayaks highly enough. We (two of us) did the 12-mile trip and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The river was flowing at around 290 CFS the day we went, which made for a relaxed, enjoyable paddle with just enough current to keep us moving while still allowing plenty of time to enjoy the scenery. Great experiences! And amazing Staff
This was our first time here after years of visiting Collinsville Canoe and Kayak. What an adventure! Sharing the river with fly fishermen and learning to steer behind as to not disrupt their lines. Kayakers ahead of us shouting back that a bear is crossing the river up ahead and we all gave him time and space by “parking” along the banks. Having to get out at shallow rocky spots to drag the kayak to deeper water a couple feet ahead. Great service. Simple set up. Competent and friendly staff. The kayaks and life vests were in great condition. We had a wonderful time and plan to do it again soon!
