I went to Dr Zitin with complaints of chronic constipation and also I needed a colonoscopy. There answer to my digestive woes was to offer me drugs to alleviate constipation rather than do some testing to find out what's going on. Then after testing I'd hope there may be some kind of treatment plan and specifically some exact diet recommendations to combat the problem. But none of that was considered by this doctor. At my initial visit with Dr Zitin, he asked me what brought me into see him. I told him that I’ve been doing some research and I have every symptom of celiac disease. He said he could test me for it, but he knows I don’t have it because I’m black and black people don’t get celiac disease. I asked him if black people were routinely tested for celiac disease. Been trying for about a month to get a new script. They just ignore the numerous messages from both the pharmacy and from me. Been with this practice 45 years. Looks like I may need to switch.
