Best Thai food I’ve ever had
I am beyond confused as to how this place has such good ratings. I’ve owned a restaurant before and am very very careful with my reviews under 5 stars because I know what it does to a Small business. Maybe it’s because people don’t want to leave fairhaven? My husband had the green curry with avocado and I had the yellow curry with chicken. Stopped by Maikham for lunch and it was so good. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were craving. We started with the Tod Mun Pla (fried fish cakes) and the papaya salad, then had the Nam Tok (grilled beef salad with chili, garlic, mint, and lime) and the Goong Prik King (stir-fried shrimp with green beans and vegetables). My boyfriend and I found this restaurant while on vacation in Bellingham and it was so good, we came two nights in a row! The first night, we got the fresh rolls and papaya salad to start. Both nights, we ordered the Phad King (garlic ginger) stir fry with chicken or shrimp for our entrees. The kitchen is very accommodating—I communicated to my server that I can’t tolerate chiles or spice, and that I’d prefer light sauce. She made sure that my food was prepared accordingly!
