They euthanized a healthy animal. It was a cat brought in for dental cleaning. They mixed up the paper work and euthanized it instead. I don't understand why they are still in business as I can't understand why anyone would bring their pet here. Maybe they should advertise the business as a crematorium since that is the only thing they are capable of doing.
I have been going to Mahaska Vet Clinic for many years and have had the best care and faithful service for my cats. Now that we also have dogs, it is a joy to watch the interaction with them and Dr. Peterson and the care they receive. The staff is always so caring and understanding.

Dr. Carmichael and the rest of staff have taken very good care of our pets for several years. We recently lost one of our fur babies and they have done nothing but comfort us during our time of grieving. ❤️ thank you so much for what you do
I’ve taken all of my animals to Mahaska Vet and my parents have done the same. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. The staff are super professional and extremely polite.
