Your group gave a wonderful performance at the Billie Jean King Main Library on Saturday May 11th. The ukulele player/ MC did a marvelous job telling the audience about the cultures of the Polynesian islands and sang and played the ukulele delightfully. The dancers were exciting to watch and the costumes were magnificent. I love how the dancers got 4 people from the audience to learn the Polynesian dance moves. Deleted original post..(per company request) The hula show that I saw & how I chose to comment wasn't personal. I don't even know you or your halau for it to be personal. It was my opinion! I was also a guest at that event. As you & I both know, PCC dancers are amateurs! This is a known fact! They're not professional dancers. I've been to PCC, Germaine & Paradise Cove. Authentic, professional, and most importantly, ENTERTAINING! The dancers are beautiful and the different islands represented in the show are danced ACCURATELY and with such a fun, uplifting spirit. Shows given by Mahana Dance Company are top tier , and that's coming from the experience of being around a Polynesian family who has taught Hula and has run successful Polynesian shows in Southern California and Oregon since the early 1980s.
