I was treated for both my eyes and had surgery. Both Nurses and Dr Herschel were very professional and showed concern. Yes I had to wait a while but it was worth it. I would recommend him to all my family and friends. Thank you Dr. for restoring my eye sight!

I visited for cataract surgery Consultation and I was self-pay. They said it would cost $245 for the visit. I agreed. 2 weeks after, I received a bill for $55. They said it was for a test they did. I was not notified before hand there will be other cost outside what was quoted. Also, before they did the test, they didn't tell me that this test costs more and asked for my permission. Be VERY AWARE of hidden fees and unnecessary tests. As far as the visit, doctor talked with me for 5 mins and that's it. not very helpful. Ended... read more
Everyone is very nice but badly organized. I had a 9:15 appoitment, I wasn't seen until 9:53 at which time the tech told me she couldn't examine me because she had done it the last time (I was there to have my script rechecked because I wasn't seeing clearly with the new glasses). So, at 10:07 am I still haven't been seen by anyone but the guy who walked in without an appointment was seen in 15 minutes. Not happpy and will be looking for a new Dr.
This is a satellite office of the main Magruder Eye Institute in Orlando (which I have also reviewed). Wherever you go at Magruder (they also have an office in Kissimmee), you run into the same great employees because they rotate duty among their three offices. In fact, they know that the Apopka office is most convenient for me; my surgeon tries his best to schedule follow up appointments here. You can't go wrong with Magruder.
