Was in with my wife two days ago and I would not reccomend this place to anyone.Service was terrible and food we had mediocre .Expensive for the small portions.I am surprized that they gave us any soy sause.We will not return
Excellent Restuarant - worth a visit! Easily the best sushi and sashimi in the area (I've tried them all, several times).The restaurant is quite charming, nicely decorated, has many authentic Japanese touches - good atmosphere, especially on weekends. The service is excellent, whether eating in or taking out, and unlike the other reviewer, I've never waited more than a few minutes for any course - the service is almost too good in that respect. Best fo its kind in the area Worth the trip for the dumpling soup and, sometimes, the seafood pancake. The rest is a mixed bag. Plain sushi is generally good. Their fancy items range from good to weird and tasteless. Menu has tempura and several Korean items. Make sure no one is celebrating a birthday. They blast an annoying birthday tune, at rock concert levels, over the entire speaker system for three minutes. It is VERY irritating.

Great food, lacking service... Don't get me wrong... I love Japanese food and any place that serves udon with chicken, tempura and an egg cracked over and cooked in the soup is on my favorites. But we always seem to wait an unreal amount of time for our food and the staff doesn't seem to care if we've been sitting there for an hour without a hint of our appetizers. So, if you have a long time for dinner and aren't starving when you walk in, go to Magoya. The food will not disappoint!
