Recently, I poorly reviewed Magnacare insurance which I have through my husbands Union, IBEW Local Union #3. Every time I have to have a stress test that is not your usual run on the tread mill nuclear stress test, I have to stand on my head to get it approved because my doctors practice name is the same as the hospitals name. Do NOT ever get Magnacare!! Worst customer service and worst provider service. My doctor had to wait 15 days to get an authorization. They are slow and terrible. They delay access to care because they don't want to pay. Stay away from Magnacare!!!!

If I could give this insurance company 0 stars I would by far the worst health insurance company that i ever had . I knee medication so I don't get kidney failure and I need insulin and they won't cover nothing it is all about money . Stay away from this insurance. With my union local 810 they don't help or care . They say that magnacare is a great insurance lmao not .

By far the worst insurance company. They need to be investigated the way they handle authorizations and claims. "15 day turnaround" quickly turns into back and forth for 3 months, and then services getting authorized and returned back after it's already expired.

Lyric at MagnaCare was wonderful — kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. Her customer service was amazing and made everything so much less stressful. Truly deserves more than 5 stars!
