I just went to look up Magnacare corporate to find information on who to contact about how horrible they are. I deal with rude , unprofessional people on the other end of the line almost every time I call. I’ve been hung on, lied to. But , I see everyone on the reviews have the same issues I’ve had to deal with. I guess they do not care. such a shame , hard working people have Magnacare insurance. By far the worst insurance company. They need to be investigated the way they handle authorizations and claims. "15 day turnaround" quickly turns into back and forth for 3 months, and then services getting authorized and returned back after it's already expired.

Only giving this one star because I have to. Worst Customer Service I have ever received. Cannot get through to a representative without spending 10 minutes selecting different options through an automated system. Once you finally get through to a representative they will either tell you they're going to call back and never will or you'll get hung up on before you can even get a member ID out. I would call back to speak to a supervisor but it would be a waste of time based on the other reviews.

It takes 15 business days to get a procedure authorized. 3 weeks. Are they serious!!! People have to suffer to wait 3 weeks . They don’t care about their Members. It is Ridiculous. Update 11/18/25. Just received a call from Magnacare and the representative expedited the authorization. I appreciate the quick response and the way the representative handled my complaint. Update again 11/20/25: Dr never received authorization will not update this review again. Horrible customer service

Worst insurance company ever! Please read the reviews & avoid!! Always have issues with them & every time I call to resolve them, they give me different answers. Nobody knows what they are doing. Wish we can switch providers but it’s through my husbands union. Edit: So after I posted this review Ann contacted me & took care of this bill that we had been fighting on. She is one of the most sweetest people I’ve ever dealt with through them. She helped me out so much & fought to get it taken care of & I am extremely grateful f... read more
