Loved it, Loved it, Loved it!! I have been to this restaurant 4 times since it opened in the area and am repeatedly impressed. We have to drive about 30 miles to get there and still go at least twice a year. I definately recommend a reservation. My favorite dish is the gnocchi with vodka sauce. Disappointed I had read a few reviews of Maggianos and decided to try it out. The decor & atmosphere is more towards the upscale crowd (compared to Olive Garden, Bravo). The food was OK, but not worth the price or dining experiance. The wait staff seemed like they could care less about refills or getting the meal right. The food was luke-warm when we finally got served. The lasagna was OK, but too bland tasting for me and way too much ricotta.I would recommend going to Ferraris, Olive Garden or Bravo for a good Italian meal.... read more
We love the food, the service and the atmosphere.
Service was awful. Half hour wait with a reservation. Tried to seat our kids at a different table than us where we wouldn't be able to see them. Waitress came back for our drink order every 20-25 minutes. I started drinking the olive oil. Our food came out very fast - wife's food wasn't cooked and my lasagna was completely dry. Wife could cook better lasagna and she's not Italian. Kids' food came out 10-15 minutes after ours and then they left out 2 kids meals out of our party of 10. The music is out of site!!! – They have a fantastic piano player/vocalist (Bobby Wilson)in the bar on Thursdays, Friday's and Saturdays. He plays all types of music including motown. In any other city, you'd pay $25.00 cover just to hear him. Eat in the bar if you can find a spare table. The entertainment alone makes up for the price of the great food, affording you and your date a reasonable night out.

The zucchini is worth the price – If you love dark wood, cozy settings and outstanding food, you'll love this restaurant. Upon first entering the bar, I was impressed by the warm and intimate atmosphere--a nice change from the twenty flashing TV's and and all you can drink drafts. One of the better designed "formula" restaurants but indifferently managed – The service was indifferent at best, from the perfunctory greeting of the hostess to the desultory efforts of the waitress, but, compared to the ratings given other Cincinnati restaurants, it probably merits something in the 8.5 to 8.8 range.
