I applied for a new mortgage last year. An appraisal was completed by an appraisal company recommended by Magenta. The value of the home was on target with market value and the mortgage was to proceed. A few days prior to funding I was told there was an in house appraisal done from a realtor that the company uses. The value was brought down by 100k and my deal feel through because of this.
