It’s have been well over a year since having my son but I cannot thank Dr Oaks enough for an exceptional care during my pregnancy. She monitored me from 13-22 weeks when we had to opt for an emergent cerclage. She went with me through the entire procedure and walked me through everything. Then when it came time to remove my stitch she assured me that all would be well. I went back to the office at 6 weeks post partum and was able to show her my son who she saved and it was such a joy. Got referred here by OB Clinic who says this is where they send their high risk patients for ultrasounds. I was running under 10 minutes late to my appointment time but with paid parking, I decided to call in advance to see if they'd still see me before I attempt to arrive. They tell me they're being strict about appointment times and to reschedule. They have a cancellation 2 weeks out and their next appointment is over a month out. I have no doubt that the medical facility is fine, and the doctors are probably fine, too, but the staff at the front desk are incompetent as all get out and have no regard for the mental well-being of an emotional, hormonal pregnant woman! First: I had to relay the message to my referring OB office about insurance codes needed to continue the appointment creation, thus doing their job for them. Dr. Chan was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend him and his office for prenatal care. My baby is breech and I was exploring the option of a vaginal breech birth. He explained to me the research behind his recommendations and was warm and comforting throughout the visit. I would return for prenatal care in the future if needed. His lovely medical assistant supported me with my urgent insurance prior authorization and making a last minute appointment. The office staff was also welcoming and kind.
