I have had several Rheumatologists that didn't listen to me. They would dismiss my claims or chalk it up to something else, but Dr. Hosney took the time to make me understand how my Lupus works and what it affects. I even asked him questions that had nothing to do with Rheumatology, but I thought that it did. He gave me his educated opinion on what to do. The last 8 yrs have been hell without a good Rheumatologist. I am glad that I sought him out on my own.
I would like to give Dr. Hosny and his entire team all of their flowers. I have been coming here for about 6-7 years off and on & I always have a good experience coming here. The staff is extremely helpful and thoughtful. Lillian, one of the office managers, went above and beyond for me when my insurance unfortunately wouldn’t cover my medicine. My vert short brief interaction with Dr. Maged Hosny was pleasant i went to him for psoriatic arthritis which he informed me i do not have . diagnosed me with degenerative osteoarthritis and ordered labs which confirmed his diagnosis and xray which my orthopedic specialist did and answered the questions of progression and a plan is in place. i have no complaints Dr .Hosny was pleasant and professional took his time and i appreciate him for being honest with me about my condition.
I’ve never felt more dismissed or disrespected by a doctor. I came in seeking answers and support for my lupus, and instead left in tears confused, hurt, and more overwhelmed than I’ve ever been. I was told I also have fibromyalgia, but when I asked questions about what that means for my treatment, I was told to “do the research myself.” He refused to offer any referrals or help finding a pain management doctor. I’m extremely appreciative for the care I’ve received from Dr Hosny and his staff. Being diagnosed with lupus, fibromyalgia and raynaud’s syndrome has not been easy to say the least, however, Dr Hosny and the staff there have given me hope that some doctors truly do care about their patients and not just in it for the paycheck.
